Jonas T. Kaplan, Ph.D. is a cognitive neuroscientist and Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Southern California, where he co-directs the Dornsife Neuroimaging Institute. He leads the Cognitive Neuroimaging Lab, which explores how the brain constructs meaning, identity, and connection through narrative, belief, and empathy. Visit Dr. Kaplan’s personal website.

Anthony Vaccaro, Ph.D. is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Psychology & Neuroscience, and with the Winston Center on Technology and Brain Development.

His research is focused on how we can use neuroscience to better understand mixed, complex, and sentimental feelings induced by modern life and technology.

Brock Pluimer, Ph.D. is a post-doctoral scholar at the University of California, Irvine, where he uses EEG and fMRI to study how altered states of consciousness can help manage chronic pain and addiction.

Leonardo Christov-Moore, Ph.D. is a Senior Research Scientist at the Institute for Advanced Consciousness Studies. Leo is a neuroscientist, artist and complexity theorist investigating trust, vulnerable AI, mind/body interactions, and the role of non-ordinary states in deep belief change.
